So, I took a class over at QuiltUniversity.com called Designer Pinwheels by Dena Crain. I won’t go into the details of how the quilt is designed or much about how it is constructed out of copyright concerns and respect for Ms. Crain. I will say that it is a tessallating design.

It was not an Electric Quilt class, but I was able to do my designing using the software. I don’t have all my fabrics picked out yet, so I just colored the quilt using fabrics that came with the program. Here is what I hope the quilt will look like when it’s done:

So far, I have transferred my design to fusible web:

Once I find the last two fabrics, I’ll be ready to start piecing. Ms. Crain has techniques for joining all these wonky angles and she promises that it is do-able. We’ll see about that. 🙂
